Block days off
A block tells your receptionist not to book appointments on a day, or during part of a day. It still answers your customers as usual on blocked days. It just does not book those times.
Use a block for a holiday, a day you are away, a training morning or any stretch you want to keep free.
Where to find it
Blocks are managed in the web portal, on the Calendar page, in the Blocked for booking card. The card appears once you have a calendar connected. If you do not have one yet, see "Connect Google Calendar".
Block a whole day
- Open Calendar.
- In Blocked for booking, leave Whole day selected.
- Pick the Date.
- Add a Reason (optional), for example "holiday". The reason is for you and your team.
- Select Add block.
The day appears in the list under the form, marked All day.
Block part of a day
- In Blocked for booking, select Time window.
- Pick the Date.
- Set From and To. The end time has to be after the start time.
- Select Add block.
Your receptionist can still book the rest of that day.
Remove a block
Find the block in the list and select Remove. That day or time window opens up for booking again right away.
What a block changes
- Your receptionist does not book blocked times. If a customer asks for one, it says that time is not available and helps them find another.
- Appointments that are already booked on that day stay as they are. A block does not cancel or move anything.
- A block does not change your business hours or how calls are routed.
The message "That date or time window is already blocked." means there is already a block for the same date and times.
