Business hours and days off

Read in Spanish

Your business hours tell your receptionist when your team is available. Days off are separate: you block them on your calendar so your receptionist does not book appointments on them. Your receptionist keeps answering either way.

Set your business hours

Hours are edited in one place: the Business page.

  1. Open Business from the menu.
  2. In Business details, find Business hours.
  3. For each day, set the start and end time. Select + Add window if you open more than once in a day. A day can have up to 6 windows.
  4. To close a day, remove its windows. The day then shows Closed.
  5. Select Save.

Changes apply from your next call.

Confirm or change your timezone

Your hours are read in your business timezone. You set it in the Call routing section of your receptionist's page. To open that page, select your receptionist's name in the menu, then Setup.

  • The first time, you see Set your business timezone. Choose your timezone and select Confirm.
  • After that, the section shows Timezone: and your zone. To change it, select Change, choose the new zone, select Save change, then Change timezone. The new timezone applies from the next call.

Only owners and admins can set the timezone and use the check below.

Check what happens at a given time

The Call routing section shows a summary called When calls go where, with an Edit hours button that takes you back to the Business page.

To see how a call would be handled on a certain day and time:

  1. In Call routing, find What happens to a call?
  2. Pick a Date and a Time.
  3. Select What happens?

The result tells you whether that time is inside or outside your hours and what your receptionist does with the call. This check is available once your timezone is set.

Block a day off

For holidays or any time you can't take appointments, open Calendar from the menu and find Blocked for booking. Choose Whole day or Time window, pick the Date, and select Add block.

Your receptionist still answers on blocked days. It just will not book appointments on them.
