How the free trial works
Every new Bectify account in the United States starts with a free trial of 14 days. How it works depends on the button you pressed on our website.
Two ways to start
- Start free. No card is asked for. Your receptionist gets 60 free credits, with the features of Core.
- Solo or Core. You add a card at sign-up, on a secure payment page. You get 90 free credits, with the features of the plan you picked. Your plan starts, and your card is charged, when your trial ends, or sooner if you use all 90 free credits. Nothing is charged before then.
During the trial your number is a toll-free number. Local numbers come with a paid plan; to ask about one, contact Bectify support.
Keep an eye on your trial
The top of the portal shows how many days and credits you have left. Settings › Plan & billing shows the same, plus the date your trial ends.
Add a card during a free trial
Only the account owner can add a card. Other team members see Ask your account owner.
- Go to Settings › Plan & billing.
- Select Keep [name] answering.
- Choose Solo or Core, and monthly or annual.
- Select Continue to add card and enter your card on the secure payment page.
Adding a card gives you 30 more free credits, once. Nothing is charged that day. Your plan starts the day your trial ends, or sooner if your free credits run out, and we email you that day.
If your free credits run out
Your receptionist stops answering, and calls ring your own phone: the number you confirmed with a code during setup. If you have no confirmed number, callers hear a short message that you can't take the call.
- With no card: add one and your receptionist answers again right away, with 30 more free credits.
- With a card: your plan starts that day and your receptionist keeps answering.
If the trial ends and there is no card
Your account is paused. Nothing is deleted. Calls ring your phone, and Plan & billing shows Paused. Your setup, leads and number are saved. To come back, select Turn [name] back on. Your plan is charged right away and your receptionist answers again.
