Past-due payments
If a payment for your plan does not go through, Bectify tells you right away. Until the card is fixed, your receptionist may stop answering, so fixing it quickly matters.
What happens when a payment fails
- A banner at the top of the portal tells you the payment failed.
- Settings › Plan & billing shows the problem.
- The account owner gets an email.
- Depending on your account, your receptionist keeps answering for a while, or calls ring your phone (the number you confirmed with a code) until the card is fixed. With no confirmed number, callers hear a short message that you can't take the call. The banner tells you which applies.
Fix your card
Only the account owner can fix the card. Other team members see the banner.
- On the banner, select Fix card (on some accounts, Update payment method →).
- If you see the amount due, check it, then select Continue to update card.
- Enter a card that works on the secure payment page and save it.
Once the payment goes through, your receptionist answers again.
If the new card is declined too, nothing is charged. Try another card, or check with your bank.
If it is not fixed
We keep sending reminder emails. If the payment stays unpaid, your account is paused. Your setup, leads and conversations are kept.
To come back, go to Settings › Plan & billing and select Turn [name] back on (on some accounts, Restore now →). Your plan is charged and your receptionist answers again.
If your trial ended with no card
A free trial that ends with no card is paused too. See "How the free trial works".
